Hello. I am Dylan Reed. Often known as 'dylree'.
I have over two decades experience in strategy, communications, partnerships, activations and events with sector expertise in destination marketing, the visitor economy, hospitality, tourism, government and retail.
My career experience includes 10+ years as CEO of Communications and Activations agency Kreate as well as lead roles at Visit Victoria, the City of Melbourne and for London's West End.
I am focused on working with a select group of businesses, organisations, individuals and destinations that are seeking strategic advice, guidance and creative ideation.

With two decades of providing communications strategy, creative ideation and insights for a range of brands, destinations, events and clients, I like to help businesses see beyond a problem, think about the future and generate creative solutions.
I believe that the world would operate better if we all worked more collaboratively. With years of experience in creating successful collaborations and a strong personal network, I partner with you to help you partner with others.
Sometimes you need a macro lens to assist with micro challenges. I assist small businesses to think ahead with a long term, creative mindset and provide one-off workshops on ongoing guidance.
I’ve worked with global icons like London’s West End and brand Melbourne to attract visitors. From established destinations to new concepts, I bring creative ideas and strategy to put places on the map and drive visitation.
Having led teams in both large organisations and boutique agencies, I pride myself on my ability to lead with empathy and emotional intelligence. I work either one-on-one or with teams to provide guidance, mentoring and support. I can provide interim, senior support for organisations in transition or who are without a key role for a period of time.
Language and communication sit at the heart of many organisations' crises. I work with organisations to AVOID crises, but equally help them navigate the delivery of crisis communications in real time.
Sometimes all you need is a helping hand for a short busy period - as an experienced Communications leader, I can jump in to assist with senior Interim PR, Communications and Stakeholder Engagement support
With decades of experience in telling compelling stories for the purpose of advertising and sales, I am adept at crafting a narrative to assist in creating IMPACT and making CHANGE.
As an experienced MC, Event Host and Public Speaker - and with a lot of opinions - I am available to host events, speak on panels or provide insights, thoughts and training.
I aim to regularly write about a range of things from industry-specific topics to the world, insights, trends and learnings.
